Dr. Johnson did her undergraduate training at George Washington University and American College in Paris. She received her doctorate in clinical psychology with a subspecialty in developmental psychology from The New School for Social Research in New York. Dr. Johnson has been in private practice since 1989.

In her private practice she evaluates and treats individuals as young as two years of age through the end of life. Dr. Johnson approaches psychology with the commitment that every period of life has the potential for personal growth and change. ​
